Favorite view?

Top of Beartooth Highway in the border region of Montana and Wyoming- an incredibly scenic and endless switchback mountain pass which reaches almost 11,000 feet.

 

Window or mirror?

Window- particularly an airplane window (aisle seat overrated). 

What is something you have always wanted to see in person?

 Orca Whales.

 


Who shaped your point of view? 

Both of my grandmothers from Minnesota.



What’s caught your eye lately?

High / low for me: The reboot of Ladies of London on Bravo and then after Naomi Fry wrote about it in The New Yorker: Barbara Kopple's doc "Hamptons" (2002).

When stuck what do you look at?

I always go back to Joel Meyerwitz's book "Provincetown".

What do I wish people would see

Berkeley-based photographer, Richard Misrach's, beautiful large format images of the ocean horizons on the San Francisco Bay. Also, in the spirit of high-low: The Ultimate Spend, a show on the live-shopping platform, Whatnot
